Looking to take a quick escape from the frenetic city of Singapore for the weekend? Bintan Lagoon Resort has you covered. Situated on the Riau Archipelago of Indonesia, Bintan Lagoon Resort is set amongst more than 300 hectares of beachfront gardens overlooking the South China Sea and is recognized as the only Green Resort on Bintan Island for their Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design(LEED).
Wear We Went spent an exciting weekend exploring the massive resort and we loved the wide range of dining options, activities and scenery the resort has to offer. One our favorite dining spots at the resort is Nelayan, which means 'fisherman' in Malay. The beachfront restaurant serves up some of the freshest seafood we've ever had. Perfect for a romantic evening meal or a relaxing lunch, Nelayan has one of the best views of the South China Sea from the resort. Not to mention- their fruity cocktails are divine.
When not taking a dip in the aquamarine colored ocean or stunning resort pool, we took some time to enjoy the Kedaton Spa, which offers a range of organic beauty treatments along with traditional massages. You can even opt to get a massage on the beach, if you're in the mood.
For all the sun seekers out there, Bintan Lagoon Resort has an array of water sports available to their guests such as snorkeling, jet-skiing in the ocean and paddle boats by the lake. Tennis, archery, cycling, ATV rides, a driving range and two award-winning golf courses are some other activities guests can enjoy all day long.
Bintan Lagoon Resort offered us non-stop fun, a variety of cuisine to choose from and beachfront views you can't beat.
